How to Configure AWS Transit Gateway Peering Connections across Region step by step

Prerequisite

1. Virginia Region has two VPC kw-vpc-01(10.1.0.0/16) and kw-vpc-02(10.2.0.0/16)

2. Canada Central has one VPC kw-vpc-01 (172.16.0.0/16).

Using Transit Gateway to peering them together, the logical topology would be like this

Note: IP address for demonstration purpose, not the same in my configuration

Configuration

1. Create transit gateway in both region

2. Attach VPC to transit gateway

3. Attach remote TGW to local transit gateway

4. Add VPC subnet route table

5. Add transit gateway route table
